A trip inside the magma chamber of Þríhnúkagígur (Thrihnukagigur). When the volcano last erupted 4000 years ago, the magma didn't solidy inside the main magma chamber,
but instead drained away further down. So the magma chamber is empty and
enterprising Icelanders now lower tourists down 400 ft to the interior. There is a narrow entry slot
at the top and then the interior bells out into a large cavern
